· Detects 25mm gas flame at 6 metres in 2 seconds.

· Speed of detection depends on size of flame, type of fuel and distance.

APPLICATIONS

Arson:

Arson cost the UK over 2 billion £’s in 1999 and considerable loss of life.  It is therefore reasonable to consider similar costs today.  Although not suitable for all Arson applications, our Arson Alarm & Detection System that employs this detector could assist in reducing such losses considerably.

Remote Locations:

Many remote locations exist worldwide where early detection of flame is desirable but lacking electrical power.  When supplied with a separate battery or solar power supply, the Model 101-9LVR will operate continuously unattended for in excess of twelve months.

INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE

As with all UV Flame Detectors, during installation, avoid areas containing spurious sources of UV such as sparks, quartz halogen lights (not covered by glass), lightning etc.   Ensure the sensor tube is clean and free from oil and grease.  Test the detector at regular intervals.

OPTIONS

1..Battery Power Supply Unit containing

    sufficient standard Alkaline disposable

batteries for continuous 12 months operation

of the 101-9LVR.  Larger Battery Power

Supply Units are available and will be

required if ancillary items are to be powered

    in addition to the 101-9LVR.

2. Solar Charger with rechargeable batteries.

3. Radio Transmitter and Receiver Control Unit.

4. Model 103 IR² Flame Detector may be

added to create a UV-IR combination where

spurious sources of UV are present.

5. Sounders and strobes
